Vesna Haler Bender came to Gran Canaria 30 years ago and it was love at first sight. Though she is Croatian, this was the place where her heart felt at home.

The need to recreate the beauty of this island was too overwhelming to be pushed aside.

Vesna works with rescued objects, mostly wood and discarded pieces that were once cherished.

Recycled, upcyled and repurposed materials come to life and are full of small details, small but very important, as each one tells a different story. And there are so many stories to tell…

All the pieces are unique, little treasures made with memories saved from oblivion.
