With a degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Environmental Management and Quality, Ignacio Romero has been passionate about the natural environment since his childhood, as well as the historical world of the Canary Islands and their traditional sports.

During his training and professional process he has specialized in environmental education and since 2005 he has been working as a hiking guide and educator, covering the geography of the Canary Islands and the Atlantic, and disseminating their environmental, historical, cultural and heritage values.

He is the author of several books, including hiking guides translated into four languages with trails described in detail, accompanied by photographs, historical, cultural, geological reviews, etc.

In his book «Rincones de Lanzarote» he proposes a literary and emotional journey through magical places, mixing narrative and poetry to get closer to spaces of the island’s landscape.

Ignacio Romero‘s latest work – «Ana Viciosa» – is a historical novel based on a real person from the region of Tinajo, located at the confluence of the 16th and 17th centuries, a period dominated by pirate attacks on Lanzarote, economic instability and constant state of alert in a place in which it was already difficult to survive due to lack of resources.
